Christmas goody-bags

No surprises being given away here - these were last year's efforts for my neices.  I transfer printed some old Christmas cards, zhoozhed them up with some glitter glue (thank you Anne!) and appliqued them to the goody-bags made from my stash of fabric.   The baubles were old glass ones which I got for 5p each at my favourite op-shop and gathered up with a vintage ribbon bow to complete the festive feel.   I've got some ideas up my sleeve for this year, something a bit more minimalist and modern ......  and pinkpinkpink.   Maybe.  Don't want to spoil the surprise....

  1. What gorgeous goody-bags. Nice to see glitter glue hasn't lost it's charm! Can't wait to see what emerges this year.

  4. You can still do minimalist and modern with transfers of wonderful old cards - you could try stitching a favourite quote onto the image too ;-) Easy for me to say - I don't know how to sew!!! They are beautiful. I have so many ideas for fabric but not one ounce of creative talent either with a sewing machine or my fingers;-)

  5. Anne - don't get your hopes up - I only won 2nd prize in the WI competition tonight for the best-wrapped Christmas present!!
Marian - I expect being in a warm climate at the moment has put you off the idea!
Joanna - I sort of make the bags and things part of the present, so I'd better not ask for them back this year!
