The lovely little wren stamp is from the rubber stamp gallery
Quick whizz up both sides on the sewing machine, trim the edges (tried with the pinking shears but it looked too twee and anyway using pinking shears hurts my thumb), and stamp with a pretty birdie and soon had a big pile of paper bags ready for the hordes of buyers who will be flocking to my craft stalls at the end of November. They will ....won't they?
linen lavender bags by me.
sweet tape from petits details on Etsy
linen cinnamon sacks
full of heavenly-scented cinnamon bark chips
big luggage tags covered in pale linen
all ready for the New Year
Look out for my next posting: I'm planning to have a give-away of a little seasonal collection of the things I've made for the Christmas Bazaars.
Hope you're all having a good weekend!
Chrissie
Just love that little wren stamp. What a find. Your packages look really neat and very saleable.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so appealing, how could people not be flocking to your stall ..... I will - but you know that already, right?! Love birds, love linen, love cinnamon, love your work - what's not to love!!
ReplyDeleteLove Anne
chrissie .. i would have done the same thing! Your ideas are just lovely...the bags make me swoon!!
ReplyDeleteFiona - thank you - that wren is so sweet, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteAnne - aaaw, geee! And big thanks again for being Santa's little helper last week!
Elk - hey, no swooning, you're too far away for me to catch you!
Loving the understated brown paper bags. Brown paper is just so lovely isn't it Chrissie? Like the others, I adore that little wren. Judging by the things you have photographed, you are bound to do well at your fairs. :O)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely things - I hope they fly off the stall.
ReplyDeleteLove the paper bags - what a brilliant idea to sew up the sides.

That brown paper doesn't look wrinkled to me at all. What a fab idea to turn it into carriers for your lovely creations. I can smell that cinammon from here.... you have such an unerring knack of putting the right things together Chrissie. If you don't sell out at those Christmas fairs I'll eat my hat! Lesley xx
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, but what are you putting in the kilner jars?
ReplyDeleteOoo! Ooo! You have too much style and panache for just one human being, Chrissie... and I'm trying not to be very jealous but I wants some!:) It's all so booootiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you've made your paper bags. And good luck with the fairs... what you've made looks fab.
ReplyDeleteThe little bags are inspirational, I too love brown paper and especially brown paper parcels (not necessarily tied up with string). You've made some beautiful items for your stall, it will be a great success.
ReplyDeletethe little bird will certaily make them fly away!
ReplyDeleteWhat a dear little bird - and your bags look great & all your filled linen bags.
ReplyDeleteI had lot of brown wrapping / packaging the other day so carefully folded it to keep for future use.
just lovely
ReplyDeleteOh how perfect - your little bags are right up my street, as is the wren. These are very wantable things indeed.
ReplyDeleteThat little berry tart in your sidebar has just made my mouth water!
So glad I am not the only one who loves brown paper - it is a lovely natural looking material and perfect for your little birdie.
ReplyDeleteIf they don't flock, they're mad - the things you've made are utterly lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie
ReplyDeleteLovely post! Re your comment on my blog - I don't mind at all - but thanks for asking! Which day are you going - 19th or 20th? I'm going on the Sunday - will I meet you?
Wend
