We're going to be doing hedgerow jam this weekend, which is elderberries, brambles and bramleys - saves me doing the straining! Apparently elderberries are very high in vitamin C, so it is very good for you as well as tasting nice.

Carolyn - I was actually thinking of you when I looked at the lovely colour the jelly bag came out after the elderberry 'dyeing'. Kettle's on, come on over!

These jellies look so wonderful, I so wish I had some. I want a hedgerow too - my husband is looking into how to create one for us. I love that you have berries waiting there for you!
And, I must say, I love the purple left behind the berries. I would love to dye some yarn with it and make a royal scarf!
